It's available on the AIMA web site.

Not for free - you have to be a member, at least at the first glance.

As a FYI - NO-ONE uses the AIMA DDQ is in it's basic format now - any investor wants so much more than the basic (its dated 2008 isn't it?), so most firms have a broader DDQ - with additional questions and a lot more targeted.

A couple of things to note - quite pedantic - but valid (I once had an investor who is involved with AIMA flag these to us):
1) You can't claim it is the "AIMA DDQ" unless you are a member of AIMA - breach of the copyright
2) If you say "based on AIMA DDQ" - have to leave each of the additional questions un-touched. Can't change wording, even if expanding - so need to have all the original questions, and any additional questions you may have to be new, separate questions...

I wouldn't be so hard on AIMA.  They provide a good checklist of info for someone in a small shop to get started with and it is easy to reformat to suit your own tastes.  Of course a proper due diligence probe will require more info, body cavity searches by Kroll, etc.  What the AIMA DDQ provides is a means to keep a dialog going with your prospective client in the early stages that is crucial to landing the business.

One of the PBs said that they use a very similar form and we can start by filing this one out. Nothing is perfect, obviously, but at least this gives us a sense of what lies ahead.

Didn't mean to be too hard on them - we're a member and and I'm big supporter of what they do.

Just wanted to advise not to say "based on the AIMA DDQ" or something similar in the document when you've edited things...

I'd be interested in having a look at it too if possible.
