Hi, fishing for opinions from people more educated on fiscal policy and macroeconomics here. I don't have any intuition on it. Does it make any sense? Will it have any significant impact? Any opinions are welcome.

Impact... yes, it would have had. To be precise a significant deleveraging because all the "funny money" would have vanished from the system. I guess nobody can seriously say what the consequences would have been but I think "not so funny" summarizes it quite well.

Maggette the initiative was rather led by "anarcho-lefto-grünists" than populists to my best knowledge.. . I have discussed with some proponents.. background-- ballet dancers, idealists, not-so-good university professors etc etc.. not rigorous.. not that they have not some faire points with leverage and other issues... but not all packaged like this.. I am just saying, Poly-aus-Heidiland
