I pay £60/month base and about 80-90/month in total with all the trimmings so I expect good service. Recently the swimming pool has been fucked, and the spa water smelled like whore muff. Then the spa didn't actually bubble. Now, today, the fucking coals in the Sauna were removed - so I couldn't get it hot wtf! Better still audio channel 7 which pumps out trance has been down for months (I need motivational music for CV workout and it really niggles me - I complained 3 times and nothing has happened), and the 2nd TV is down in the main gym. It's really annoying me and I can't easily drop the gym cos it's so easy to get to and I KNOW IT CAN BE GOOD again.
That's typical British service. Least I don't have to tip. |
You might very well think that, I couldn't possibly comment. |

I hear you, bro.
The gym I go to sucks. They have 156,000 treadmills and 3 elliptical machines. But if there are only three people in the cardio room, they are usually ALL on ellipticals. Isn't that a hint that you need a higher elliptical to treadmill ratio? Hmm, I think so. Plus, I've asked about 78,000 times for them to get more ellipticals and they keep saying they will, but they never do...
What I really hate is on the weight floor when the gym staff allows OTHER PEOPLE into my gym. C'mon, if you're going to be in my gym, during my time, at least get out of my way! Seriously though, I hate when I have to rearrange my routine for idiots who think the weight machines are only there to give you a place to sit in between conversing with the guy next to you and flirting with the girl on the other side. It's a GYM, if you are not going to work out, get out of my way! |

60 Pounds per month is nothing in London. Go to Champney's at city point. It's like 120 Pounds and a joining fee, but at least they appreciate your business. Only downside is the pool is only 20m (oh what, couldn't find another 5m to make it standard size? Pfffhhh English...)
Arroway, try working out with some really huge dudes that benchpress like 400+ lbs. Nobody will stand in their way.
Is this same gym that Nonius set up for you, incidentally? |

Yep, same gym.
Are you familiar with "Arena Football"? It's like regular (American) football, but on a shorter field, no real out of bounds, etc. Really high-scoring games.
Anyway, the local AF team works out at the same gym, and those dudes can definitely bench 400 pounds. Oddly enough, they're some of the same ones that like to lift for a couple minutes, gab for 15, do another set, gab for 10....
I can bench a decent amount for my size and weight, but nothing like these guys, so I just have to let it go. |

I used to love the Wall Street NYSC. The sauna was a treasure trove of gossip and my cardio consisted of watching Dick Grasso ogle women. |

Perhaps we could programmatically insert a couple of Navy SEALs as your friends?
Either that or you need to smuggle some painted styrofoam dumbells in there and act like you are pressing 1800 lbs. They would probably not bother you again. |

yeah, trouble with membership is that money is everything.. NYSC is a good deal and the wallst loc could be good but they close too early. Trib location was bad and staff sucked, so I dumped them and now pay a goddamn fortune for Equinox, thank god I'm getting some kind of deal. It's one of those things where you have to work out the arb in your head before you sign the docs: "Lessee... X amount for like 15 years is Y gazillion, just fuggedaboudit and have coronary bypass in 20 years is Z gazillion, hmmm.... pret-ty close, guess I have to put a price tag on those intangibles!"
pool? that's the big one for nyc, you want a decent pool then either you use 92nd street and avoid the bobbing hairpieces or you open your wallet WIDE |

When I work out, I do it for exercise (obviously) but also as a way to get away from everyone. So, make the SEALS my bodyguards, but tell them not to bug me.
Thanks! |

I was looking for a fitness centre in my locality as in this lockdown time we all are getting fatty. Then my friend suggested me to go for https://nearbyall.com/delhi/fitness/type/aerobics/ which is providing online detail of all gym and fitness centres. We can also get reviews of services also so that we can choose the best one. |
